Day Environmental, Inc. (DAY) in association with its affiliated company Day Engineering, P. C. provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) services. DAY employs the latest data collection techniques and software to generate these mapping and data management systems.

Our GIS and GPS services encompass the following:

• Creation and management of geospatial databases (mapping).

• Creation of asset management databases joined with geospatial databases to locate assets within the facility or area.
• Integration of GPS data collection and GIS data management to provide the most up-to-date geospatial information.
• Using the latest methods and hardware in GPS technology to collect geospatial data to provide an more accurate locations of features and joining those features to information compiled by users.

• Use of ArcGIS Server web mapping for users to access mapping and data with the use of various mobile devices (JavaScript, and Flex Viewer API’s for ArcGIS).

DAY’s GIS and GPS expertise is typically used to provide environmental support services to clients in such areas as:

• 3-Dimensional (3D) modeling of contamination plumes, used to determine the extent of contamination and in tracking remedial progress and effectiveness.

• Development of GIS environmental management systems, which provide a central GIS database and repository that may be accessed from both office and field, as well as enabling remote input of GIS environmental data attributes for monitoring, inspections, testing, reporting, etc.

• 3D modeling of occupied structures for emergency planning and evacuation, which incorporates an asset management database to identify vital area, facilities, interspatial relationships, etc. that are critical for effective evacuation under varying site-specific emergency situations.
